I've got major problems with my computer, I can't go on the web anymore (again I'm not at home). Which is the best antivirus I could buy? Or is it better to just bring it to the store to get it completely cleaned and erased of all information on it?

no need for a store.

Use your restore disks (or restore partition) to wipe your computer.

Then use firefox vice IE

Also I use a free antivirus called NOD 32 and have had no problems for about 1.5 years now.

is there any FREE anti virus that ''REALLY DOES THE JOB'' ???

im now on Norton.. it takes basicly all my cpu ressource..... but it protects well... and blocks everything , but my liscence expires in few days
so i need a alternative very soon.

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.

i have used Avast and it worked well. I find NOD 32 works EVEN BETTER (both are free)
