I just bid on an Eight Ball on Ebay which I intend to restore as a gift for my cousin. He is a big pool and Happy Days fan so this should be perfect.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP.....mp;_trksid=p3907.m29

Does anyone know if Classic Playfield Reproductions really intend to make the playfield and backglass? This pin needs both...

Opinions on the pin? Comments?

CPR is going to be doing the PF's and BG's later this year. The plastics have already been done.

YUP! Now, it is up to my cousin... is it to be restored, or is it parts.... It will end up around 300$ shipped, but I know that there is more than 300$ worth of parts in that thing for me... so we will see.

Yeah... but 300$ for the machine, 100$ in supplies (paint, etc...), 750$ for the bg and pf (if I don't fix it), a solenoid driver, some board work... it adds up. Nice machine, but how much would a minty-fresh Eight Ball fetch later on? 1200$?

if it has 'complete' written on the back panel then most likely yes.

@ Hyann
Yup I bought a pin off them a few years ago.  Think it was $90.00 all said and done.  They dropped it off at my work which has a loading dock (downtown montreal).

OK, so the Eight Ball will be here tomorrow or Friday. I told my cousin that I will part it out (because I do need the parts...) but then my bloody pin-conscience started getting the best of me.

"You can fix this thing... no problem!"

So I will see what it looks like soon and most probably will be restoring it for myself later on I guess...
