So, working on my first pin here. I just got delivery confirmation on an order from marco (bulbs, fuses, balls, rubber kit etc.). Of course the same day I find out I'm missing 3 or 4 extra bits. I love paying shipping costs for no good reason

Just to prove what a complete newb I am, can you believe I missed this?

Can anyone/everyone tell me what exactly is missing from this picture?

I am actually having a lot of fun with this project. hours of frustration punctuated by moments of revelation. I'm hooked!

Don't worry this won't be the last time you forget that one last thing in your parts order.  It happens to us all ... REPEATEDLY ...

As for the picture I'm not familiar with that game/generation so I can't be of more help.  But others will chime in soon enough.

Ahh. Should have mentioned the game is a 1974 Gottlieb Far Out. I'm sure others (EM guys) will see exactly what's is missing.

Looks like you are missing a plunger and linkage on that stepper unit.
And maybe a spring and a c-clip.

The Gottlieb parts manual (or for that game) may have a diagram of
that stepper showing all individual part numbers.

In addition, such complete stepper units often end-up on eBay
when Gottlieb pinballs of the same vintage are parted-out.

Maybe a MAACA member has this part (Michel Pigeon ?)
I checked and unfortunately I do not have these parts here.

Good luck & Cheers,
- Sylvain

Thank you Sylvain.

If I can get a plunger of aproxamatly the right lenth I might be able to rig something for the linkage. Otherwise the stepper unit seems in good shape (after cleening). I don't think a sping is needed (I could be wrong).

If a MAACA member has the right parts that would of be perfect. If not I will keep an eye/seach on ebay.

I have no idea if this plunger would be the right length,
however I am sure there would be a way to make it work
if you are willing to make your own linkage from scratch.

You can have it for free if you think it would help.
I will be at jvegas101 tomorrow Sunday after 4:00 PM
and can bring it there for you.

Just let me know or post here...

Cheers,
- Sylvain

AMX, I just saw your 2nd reply,

Sorry,My french is nonexistent. Bablefish gives me this:
"Ok, I found same the plunger but with the linkage and small the clip."

If this means you found the plunger and linkage please let me know what you want for it.

I'm confident that I can make this pin look cosmetically like new. Mechanically is a fun learning experience.

Thanks,
Brad

I love this forum. Only in Canada do you get French and English posts in the same thread.

Maybe I'm better in english than bablefish!

I found the plunger (like Sylvain's pix) but with the right linkage and the little clip.

Why I'm not a perfect bilingual?!?!? J'envie vraiment ceux qu'ils le sont!!!

Stay cool daddy'o
