The sharp edges are "eased" (which helps prevent edge scalloping when putting the glass down), not rounded over. But you can do it yourself if necessary.
don't confuse polished edges with erassed edges...
I don't think these are polished edges for 27 bucks...basically they just have the sharpness removed, someone correct me if I am wrong...
Hmm. The local shop had me thinking polished was smoother than erassed. The extra for erassed was $9/sheet, the extra for polished was $22. Hung up pretty quickly after that
(Not sure how to spell "erassed" as my searches keeping giving me dry-erase board links)

OK, got it almost worked out with Sabrina (the buy and pick-up and handling logistics that is). I have to sort out some details, get the exact sizes (any help here is appreciated - although I can look it up, I want to make sure). Also Andrew is welcome to glass a cost (if he wants more) since he was the one who put us all on to this connection, fair?

Here you go:
Playfield Glass Size. All pinball playfield glass is "tempered" glass. Do NOT use "plate" glass in a pinball game!
All the above games (except where noted below) use the standard glass size of 21" x 43" x 3/16". This size was used on most pinball games from the 1950's through WPC. # - These games are "super-pins" with wide playfield bodies. These use 23.75" x 43" x 3/16" tempered playfield glass. Safe Cracker and Ticket Tac Toe used 18.5" x 36.5" x 3/16" tempered playfield glass. Slug Fest, a WPC pitch and bat game, uses 23" x 35 1/4" x 3/16" tempered playfield glass.

Thanks Meat Popsicle, I only needed the sizes, in particular for the widebodies, I'll check with Nick or against my STTNG and Circus, but that's great info.
I know the other aspects of the glass well. Tempered, no logo, edges eased. (I've always used the term "eased", not "erased" for when they sand off the sharp edges - I could be wrong, your mileage may vary). A Polished edge, if I remember correctly, is one where the edge is almost rounded off, just takes much more time.
I will likely get my "sh*te" together with Angela on Monday to firm up the quote and finish setting up the account, PST,etc.
I am assured by her that the best way to transport the tempered glass is flat, and each sheet will be separated by cork pads. It won't be wrapped.
Yes, putting a corner down on glass, particularly tempered is the way to break it int o tiny little pieces. You see tempered glass needs a lot of force per square inch to shatter BUT, if you concentrate force on a small point, it goes way up. That's why you should carry an icepick in your car. If you ever drove off into a lake, and couldn't open the door to get out, you wouldn't have to use much (relative) force to break the glass with the point of an icepick, compared to the force of a foot (which is not likely you could break). Temerepd glass will break into a million cubes, where as window glass shatters into sharp shards (which is why it's not used in pinball machines).
I will need two things, confirmed numbers, so I'll take what I can from this thread, but also PM's and EMs to put together my total. Next we have to decide on places to do the exchanges. I could reserve some glass for SB for the Toronto folks, I would have preferred dropping it off on my way up, but that's likely to be early on a Friday. I'll stop in Kingston (likely a parking lot?) and again in West or Central Ottawa (hopefully one stop if someone wants to host).

Adam, $27 cost + tax = $30.51
Just to be clear:
If we do make up an order of 40 - 50 sheets (and it's logistically transportable), then the price will be $37.17 per sheet+ 13%tax = $42 per sheet tax included.
If it's less then I would have to charge $45.20 per sheet tax included ($40 per sheet + 13% tax).
All the above games (except where noted below) use the standard glass size of 21" x 43" x 3/16". This size was used on most pinball games from the 1950's through WPC.
Figures.....
I have 6 pins in my collection .... 5 DIFFERENT Glass sizes...
LOTR/TSPP 21" x 43" TZ 23 3/4" x 43" RFM 21" x 41 1/2 " (Special Reflective Glass) Joust 25 3/4" x 44 1/4" USA Football 21" x 53" ( Alvin G. Head-to-Head game ... )
So much for joining-in the bulk buy.... (...unless it's only marginally more expensive for bastard sizes... )
If that's the case, I have a few vid cocktails which could REALLY use new glass...
