for theme, music, sounds, dot, toys, lights, "x factor" i'd go for MB
for everything else, MM
i also find MB is a lot easier than MM. since for me fun factor has more to do with the overall experience of playing a pin rather than emphasizing the rules, i much prefer MB. if you are a serious player with above average skills and you need deep or complex rules to stay interested, avoid MB as you will tire of it quickly.
hope that helps ... you cant lose with either game they are both top notch. you could flip a coin on it and be happy either way.
I heard from Phil that hitting the castle with the glass off is more rewarding than hitting Frankenstein.
Has anyone ever got the Phantom Flips to work properly and consistently? I got so frustrated with that feature that I turned it off!! Even with Pinball Lizard Proximity boards in there if the ball goes down the inlane clean and fast, the flipper misses it. Sure, it gives you the ball back, but that is one more stop and go.

I think that is why there is a ball save on this. I don't think it was ever 100% reliable.
Yup, Worst feature on that game, well that and the Grand Canyon hole! That might be the easiest shot worth shooting at in WPC Pinball.
I have been on the fence with this game (MB) since I got it, but I have never considered selling Medieval Madness. I would seriously look at a straight trade MB for MM. Heck, I have Both and would still look at that trade!

Both are highly regarded in my books, def in my top 10 of all time pins. I like MB more than MM but the MM on route locally is a total crapshoot. The humor in both games is excellent.

hmm ... while the phantom flip doesnt nail those ramps 100% of the time (more like 60%), i think if it is just draining on you then something is wrong. you might have some debugging to do!
(i *have* had the phantom flip completely miss and let the ball drain, but this has happened to me maybe twice out of hundreds of games).
biggest problem with MB isnt the phantom flip. it's the drac trac and the way it messes up the ball trajectory when you're trying to make the right orbit.
even with these flaws, i'm still crazy about MB.
