What stupidity. And obviously if using USENET as the vehicle of communication it is so much posturing and posing just to make an idle threat public (to effect the same result). |

It's unfortunate that the convoluted licensing issues surrounding the Bally/Williams trademark and the trademarks surrounding their licensed themes has crippled the manufacture of many repro parts from anyone. It's only the collectors that suffer.
It's not like there's a ton of cash to be made from repro parts. And any money that could be made is being pissed away on lawyers' retainers - further decreasing the possibility that many needed products will come to market at all.
It's no wonder that CPR's latest project was a plastic set for an unlicensed classic Stern machine and their next one is for an unlicensed Gottlieb machine. No fuss, no muss.

Wow, just imagine if IPB actually put half the money into customer service, as they do with legal bills....they would actually be able to answer e-mails, find products in storage and sell items online!

The whole thing is pathetic, and I can't help but think that Wayne stirred the pot to get this whole legal thing going in the first place. I can't imagine there is really enough there to squabble over.
Should of just as well left it alone. Seems to have backfired and nobody wins. Except the lawyers. |

As someone who hasn't followed this pinball decal stuff before (except being told that some guy in Australia bought some rights and stopped anyone else from making decals for those machines), I would have to say this is pretty......well............stupid.
Christ. Like everyone else has said, in the end, the only person who will really come out on top will be this "Tim" guy with the loads of money he will make in lawyers fees.
Little kids all running around trying to get each other in trouble.
Really.....fucken.....stupid (on all sides).
