I picked up these 2 Blaster Duramold Cabinets that were converted a few times over the years.

Since there is like zero parts around to restore back to Blaster I am converting them to MW.

Here are some pictures of the cabinets & the CP / Marquee test prints I created with AI

I’ll post more pictures as they come together. One will be for sale after they are completed.

What are the odds that two people are working on the same idea at the same time
on an "arguably" hard-to-find cab ?

Maybe I should just wait and buy TanMan's second cab once he's done !

Keep us posted.

Cheers,
Steph

VERY professional looking CPO & Marquee!!!!

AI = Adobe Illustrator ?
Is this program fairly easy to use .. or learn I should say?
I would like to be able to design graphics like that some day.

Well I have alternatives either way they will be Jamma wired.
1 - J-Pac & Arcade Vga.
2- Arcade shops board
3- 19 in 1 Jamma board (I am testing 2 of these now) this also adds Blaster

Yes………..AI = Adobe Illustrator
It’s not the easiest program to use but you can learn the basics with a little reading.

How much is the Arcadeshop Jamma board ?

I'll be using Clay's 6-1 kit on an original Williams board.
The kit alone cost me $150, and the orginal boardset is worth another $150.

I'm just wondering how that compares to the Williams Jamma board.

The Arcadeshop boards are really good boards but they are 379.00 U.S. (358.00 can today ) each.

I also have 1 of clays kits I could use & run the original hardware. If I do this I will build a Williams 2 Jamma harness.

4 25+ year old boards (cpu, rom, widget & sound) can be unreliable so I might just avoid using them.

The control panel is coming along. I have to play a little more with alignment on the CNC.

The overlay will end up being reverse printed on acrylic or petg to make the total
thickness ¾ inch, I’m just waiting on the results.

I'm short on white leaf buttons so they will be changed later.

Getting a little closer… I picked up the CP & Marquee reverse printed on
Petg yesterday.

Test fitting the Marquee… it looks like it’s going to work out great.
The CP is going to be laser cut next week & both cabinets will have the
Arcade Shop board installed.

Games list:

Robotron
Defender
Joust
Stargate
Bubbles
Splat
Sinistar
Moon Patrol

& the new supported game Wizard of Wor

The next pictures should be the game completed.

This is really unbelievable. I suppose that the printing on petg and the laser cutting is costing you a fair bit. Would you mind sharing the costs of that aspect of the project?

Well it helps a lot when you have friends with all the equipment

I don’t really have a cost yet. If every thing works out & there is a demand
for 15 - 20 sets, the wood control Panel CNC cut , CP laser cut &  the Marquee
I’ll come up with a price.
