I sat here and thought long and hard about something witty and funny to write, but then again, I ain't no B1.
All I will say is this. Lately, MAACA has developped a bit of an aggressive streak. This benefits no one. This hobby is too small to have people backstab each other left and right. You don't like someone here? Merely ignore them. It's a lot less stressful for yourself and a lot less uncomfortable for others. Just remember... once the power switch is flipped on, the machine lights up and you press the start button, we are all pinball fans.
This being said, I believe it is finally time for me to pass on the torch. It's been a rough year for me in the hobby and I believe I should let others run it all. So if any are interested in taking over MAACA, please send me a PM and I will discuss it with the other admins. I want to ensure that a team effort remains.
I have spread myself too thin and unfortunately many have paid for it in delays on playfields. I only have 7 left to finish, along with 3 cabs and a couple of mames, but I would like by the year's end to be able to focus on myself. That's why all my parts went on sale recently.
Same goes for the MPL. I got it off the ground and I would be happy to assist in the first few months to keep it going, but I believe it is self-sufficient. I am not worried that someone else can handle it. It's actually very easy.
So... I made it to 10000. Time to let another loudmouth take my place.
Sparky, I'm sure you have a shortlist of people that you think could run the site in your absence. You should consider emailing them to find out if they'd be interested.

I know Charles from TOPL is working hard at developing a new site that utilizes a content managment system to allow people to contribute just about anything you can think of on the net into the site. Maybe it would be simpler to just pass the torch to TOPL.
Having said that MAACA has been very well indexed by Google which equates to it getting ranked fairly high when searching for pinball related items.
Not saying it's the way you would want to go but it's an option.

I leave the decision to the other admin. I am sure they prefer someone local. Let's not all worry about it. I still have a few months left.
