Hi everyone. I'll be recieving a Theatre Of Magic soon (I never played this game before) and I was wondering if the game is as fun as a TZ, a CV, RS or a White Water. I've heard a lot about it but I like fast playing games and games with deep rules. Am I in the right direction with this game? Thanks. Claude.

I think you're in the right direction...for a hoax unless you made a mistake on the title...

Is it Theatre of Magic or Medieval Madness?

Sorry, Theatre of Magic is the right title. Medieval madness will be the next one though. Correction has been done.

Block Phil from this thread

I've only played it a few times but what I've been told is that is not deep at all...  Of course according to Phil you only shoot for the trunk..  Phil is a chimper

Right now this is the pin I play the most, finished shopping it out a few months ago so it is getting a lot of play on it. This may cause many of you to roll your eyes, but I really enjoy playing this pin. Yes, I know the comments: hit the trunk, hit the genie, hit the ringmaster, this seems to be the theme on all Popadiuk games.
But I have no real negative comments about the game, but I will agree with most that it is not a deep ruleset. If it is your only pin, I can understand why some would say it get boring fast.
In the end, it does not matter what others think, it is what you enjoy playing, so do not listen to the parrots that will only repeat: "Hit the Trunk".

My two cents.

It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!

If you can't get access to a real machine, give it a shot in visual pinball/vpinmame. It at least gives you a feeling for the flow, rules, and theme. It's usually enough to tell me if I'm gonna like a table or not.

Thanks guys. I think I'll take HP5P's advice and try it before, with Johnny_eh's advice too and try it on the web site he proposed. With all these comments, I think it'll be a fun game (also considering I've owned a CV, that I've liked too).
