Only 15 are actually in my house, the other 5 won't fit and are over at my buddies place

and 1 is a project currently scattered underneath T2 and TZ

How the hell did you manage to get it down there yourself?

Congratulations on the 20th machine.  Just think about how empty that pinball barn is going to be once it's done with only 20 machines in it.  You'll be able to leave a little more space between games though.

Usually, I would agree with you.  But this particular cabinet is a real looker ~ shiny and smooth as a baby's bottom !

I don't worry too much about what Mr.Hide says, if actually played pinball instead of just talking out his a** all the time he realize the cabinet doesn't make the machine end of day.  Centaur is a great playing game and the cabinet could be wood paneling for all I care, game would still be fun.

Agreed. Why people will drop $500 extra or more for the conventional cabinet leaves me puzzled. Same game.

Take the head off. The old ones aren't that heavy actually.

Congrats, Adam! I am so looking forward to playing it some time. I haven't actually played a Centaur, but I hear it is something else.

Cheers,
Duane

So what's the difference between Centaur and Centaur II?  I played a Centaur for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I can see how the artwork might be divisive.  I thought it was pretty cool though-definitely a 70s/80s Heavy Metal magazine/Moebius feel to it.

Nothing from a playability perspective, the only difference is that it's in a stubby cabinet and has a smaller backglass, just take a look at the pics on IPDB.

The art work on Centaur was Paul Faris' tribute to Swiss artist HR Geiger (pronounced Geeger).  It is also one of Faris' personal favourites, along with Lost World and Paragon.

Barracora and Quicksilver were Watson's tribute to the same artist.

Incidently, Geiger won an Academy award for the props in Alien, the movie.

I have 2 Geiger pins. Anyone wanna sell a Quicksilver?

Yes Otto you are right (as per your PM) I should have spelled it Giger.

FYI he designed the cover of the ELP album Brain Salad Surgery, whose title was supposed to actually mean "oral
sex". Well at least it wasn't tossed salad.

I've actually got that record..   Specifically because of the art, though.

<-- huge Giger fan, here.
