Finally got my rectifier board into Galaxy last night (a bigger job than most, it had only one connector, everything else had been soldered onto the existing board) and what an awesome difference!  GI is so much brighter, and everything seems faster.  I'll post pics later of the other one, it's a miracle it ran, the back of the board where the connectors are is one big blob of burnt solder and hacks.

I do have one question, maybe someone here can help:  My test point 4 (pretty sure it goes to the playfield) only tests 5.9AC, a little below the recommended range of 6.6 to 8.1.  Right now, all I can think is that it's the transformer.

Any thoughts on whether that's a huge concern or not?  Game plays perfectly.

TP4 is for GI. It should be 5.7 to 7.3 volts AC, so it sounds to me like you have nothing to worry about. Stop looking for problems that aren't there!

Awesome!  I was only going by the GPE installation notes, that said TP4 should be 6.6 to 8.1.  But I like Cooke's Installation Notes better.
