I don't have a book but my guess would be about 2500$Cdn for a nice unfaded one.

Deduct a $1000 for country music. Oh wait you're out west, add a grand.

Sheesh, I bet he can't tell that it sounds like mess.

Hey Glen, do you ever play pinball or do you just sit around and b i t c h about it

Personally I like Roadshow, sure the sound isn't great but it’s a fun game, lots of fun modes, shaker motor, some very unique features between Red and Ted.  Over all not a bad game, but I don't sit there and listen to the music, I actually PLAY pinball instead of over analyzing every little nuance and problem on a machine

Nah, just TAF, Dr. Who, LOTR and whatever else you have there.

Earlier I mentioned about atmosphere of a machine. Well tip toeing through the cow patties is not my idea of a good atmosphere.

, actualy Dr. Who is gone, current lineup is:

LOTR - Keepr, never leaving, really a great game
Wh20 - Another keeper
ST:TNG - Another Keeper
RFM - Something about P2K I like, just can't part with it
TAF - Playfield is still out at PFR, i'm sure I'll get it back one day *fingers crossed*
NBAFB - Yea I know, not a great game, but got it cheap, fixing it up and will sell it

And......

Wait for it....

Dr. Who has been replaced with.....

A Gotlieb!!

Haunted House will be the 7th pin at my place, hope to be picking it up this weekend.

So any takers on what smart a** comment Glen will come up with for replacing a Williams with a Gotlieb?  Any takers?

I owned a RS for awhile.

It was OK, but since the modes were linear (ie. crossing the US from East to West ),
you'd always get the same challenges.

[ Unlike, say, TZ, where any modes is available at any time ]

Only when you got a good game on RS would you get to see the West Coast.
That was the biggest turn-off for me.

The game itself wasn't  bad  (...the dual-plunger lane-diverter was kinda cool ),
and it was always a favorite at parties.

For what it's worth, mine was in very good shape (no wear at all, not even near the scoop)
and I bought and sold it for $2500.

Cheers,
Steph

Well your partly correct. It was built from a previous pin, and where would you think that one came from.

Here is an interesting statement.

"Impetus for the game was a ban on import of foreign pins between 1947 and 1951."

They must be related to cooke.

Personally I thought Roadshow was a great game..  even if linear..

I HATE C&W music but in the context of the game it was perfect.  One needs to have an open mind to get past the type of music though - not everyone has that level of maturity I guess

I just thought the game was somewhat too easy (as the guys that went to Jim's last MAACA meeting found out).  I kicked a** on it at the tournament - even though I hadn't played for a year.  It's a bit like an old video game - once you know the game you can beat it most of the time..
