Its funny cause something that cause real big fuss is the crystals....I designed the sun dial so I know its zero religious.  All it is is a music box that cranks up when sun hits it...so the crystals seemed a good way to explain why the machine warmed up and make the music when they hit the bamboo.

I`m the least religious person I know.

Ah the vid was made by the same group that listens to records played backwards for hidden lyrics.

The guys with young kids here rave about the show and aren't running out to get their kids re-programmed.

You don't make porno?  And by your email I gather you've had a hand in Waybuloo?

Wow, never have I gone from total admiration to total dislike for a guy in one simple post.

Waybuloo, (producers in Toronto)...oh I'm with you on this one, what a load of crap that show is ... and a rip off (spin off?) to boot.

Quoted Text
WIKI: The program makers describe it as "...a philosophy for a happy life, and is like nothing children will have ever seen before"[5].

Uh, yeah, we saw it before ... it was called "Teletubbies"

At LEAST that show had enough class to have a Gay character.

Television for babies, what a load of rubbish.  Sorry Donnie, calls them the ways I see them, hope you don't take offense.  But I was a film & tv producer once; so having produced enough god aweful shows and corporate videos, and having done some animation production with people from Nelvana, and having been in International Sales at Alliance Atlantis, I realize sometimes its just all about making a living, and not about the integrity of the project.  !

Too bad the porn fantasy was dismantled.....

Cummon Wayne .... Your entitled to your opinion but if your industry time is long served I`m surprised to see such a reaction.  I dont know anyone in the industry nowadays who would see the pre school sector the way you do.

To say we couldn't enjoy making the show and do so only to  make a living perhaps says more about your industry experience than mine.  I know the people who make it happen totally love making it and seeing the viewers reaction to it.

I genuinely get a kick out of seeing how kids react and having two sons I know they do NOT react the same to all shows.

Hallucinogenic Drugs are popular too, that doesn't make them smack. (oh, well, I guess it does....)

My 6 and 9 year old and I turned it on by mistake one day and the 9 year old left the room fake puking, my 6 year old turned to me, shrugged his shoulders and wrinkled his nose  (which means, turn the channel immediately please), and I was stuck watching it totally mesmerized (mostly at how utterly useless it was).  Maybe I'm too "old school" but I'm not keen on kids watching TV (particularly without dialogue) as an alternative form of social development anyway (I will admit to watching Sesame Street as a kid back in the golden age of TV - maybe that's why I talk way too fast now).

I know parents who left their littlest ones in front of those Einstein videos and I could only reckon that as a form of neglect and abuse.  But that's me.

Yes, six and nine are not the target age - although sixes do watch.  I`m making another show they will like more.  Its on Teletoon in Canada at the start of next year and is a cross between Stargate and Arnies the LAST ACTION HERO.  Portal to different worlds found in a cinema where the cinema villains have been sucked off the screen and cause havok in the worlds.  Also small sections in 3D with glasses.

Less puking for older age there.

It's too bad Teletoon doesn't come with basic cable (damned CRTC not allowing us to "pick and choose") ... we've been going toward OTA freedom (for the summers anyway)... but I miss Space Network, and the kids miss Teletoon retro.  Of course, the one channel my SO couldn't live without (Food Network) we get.  GO figure.

One funny, we've been watching a lot of OLN because the 9 year old, James, is into ghosts... well he goes around singing the "Cialis" songs (Mornings are my favourite time of day) without actually knowing what it is about and that gives our friends and his teacher a chuckle.

I've kept my kids somewhat "innocent" as far as media goes, well the first one, anyway.  James spends most of his time outside, rain or shine.

I'm sure you'll get someone to fill that position soon.
