Painful is a 2+ point difference...this was yet again a one goal game. They need a little tweaking and some love from the hometown to get this ball rolling!

Go Sens go!

This could have easily been a 4-0 game if Emery hadn't been standing on his head all night.

The Sens need ALOT more than a little "tweaking".  ...they need alot more heart !

I think the 9 days off made them lose their hunger; they looked really flat.
The only guy who really had any emotion was Fisher (...as always ...).
Redden looked like a pylon out there...  The pizza line was non-existant.

The Ducks owned both ends of the rink and unquestionably deserved to win both games.

If the Sens don't start to hussle alot more around the boards, they're done...

I sure hope I get to make use of my Game 6 tickets...

Very nicely said, Steph. Indeed, the Sens were completely out played last night. That said, I am hoping and expecting better things once they are on home ice and have the home town crowd cheering them on. I think the time off, combined with the trip, and being away from the home crowd has effected their play.

I hope so, too. Congrats on the tickets. Would be awesome to see a play off game.

Tweaking or luck?

What are your latest views on the Sens and Saturday's game? I thought they played well and found a way to not let the ducks dominate their zone. I'm sure they'll be playing strong this evening, and this might be more noticeable with Pronger out of the picture...

Neither really...

The Sens just played alot more aggressively, (especially the Neil/Vermette line ).
The fore-checking was alot better.

They were lucky in that Giguere looked weak on a few goals,
then again, so did Emery.

I think that if the Pizza line can find it's groove,
we'll finally see the Sens firing on all cylinders
(...except for Redden, who's either hiding an injury, or got lazy now that he got his $6M contract ).

With Pronger out, the Sens should be able to send a message tonight.

Should be a riotous time in the Capital again...

The Hockey Gods just weren't in our corner for this game...

1- Cheap [early] penalties giving the Ducks a 5 on 3, on which they score
2- Spezza misses a wide open net
3- Emery weak on the second goal
4- Poor Chris Phillips scoring on his own net
5- Volchenkov deflecting a shot with his stick which beat Emery
6- Vermette missing a Penalty shot  (...never even got the shot off ! )

Aflie did all he could ( 2 goals ), but Heatly and Spezza just never showed up in this series.

The Ducks deserve it, they were the better team by far...

Anybody wanna buy my Game #6 "Collector" Tickets ?

Was surprised this one only went 5 games. I was hoping for a long series.
... next year indeed.

Sorry guys, but you should take consolation it has ONLY been 15 years. We Leaf fans are plus 40 years now and NO hope in sight.

It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
