In attract mode and during the lamp test, every lamp in the KISS name on the backglass lights up.  However, during play, each letter is supposed to light up individually as it is activated on the playfield ( either by hitting standup target or rollover ).  Only ONE lamp in each letter lights up during play.  The picture below shows which lamps light up, and because they are all in the middle of the letter, i am now wondering if that is normal or whether the whole letter is supposed to light up.  Can someone confirm this for me ?

If in fact, the whole letter is supposed to light up, what is the likely cause ?  I happen to have an extra aux. lamp board and the exact same lamps came on for both boards.

I can confirm that the whole letter is supposed to light up.

Wondering if this could be software-revision related, as opposed
to be an actual hardware problem...

The 1981 Bally Parts Catalog lists three versions for U1/U2 E746-xx
for Kiss -35.  What is printed on your U1 & U2 on the MPU ?

Cheers,
- Sylvain.

Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron,
1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others.
Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for
one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!

The U2 has a printed label over it, put there by James ( grauwulf ) when he refurbed the MPU a month or so ago.  If need be, I could ask him about it.
