I have a chance to pick-up a beautifiul Cactus Canyon for $7000 USD...I've never played it and am very unsure about whether the machine justifies the price...has anyone either played it or has an opinion about its value?? Thanks!!!

Nothing can stop Crazy Jim... dont you know by now
Cactus Canyon would look good in the basement if you want it for the collectable value.. if it is only for reselling in a month or so, like Frosken said, dont buy it. I dont know many people in the area ready to pay 7000$ US for a CC, maybe i'm wrong... if there is, they will have pm'd you by now i assume
I seen (and played) CC only once but i would not put it on top of my list in any ways (other than collectable value, which i dont care much in my 4 games lineup).
Looking at your signature now, i think you have enough awsome games to enjoy yourself for *at least* a good year. Play them until you're bored THEN think about buying something else.
Just my opinion, of course.. Sylvain
Currently owning: - Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear ------------------
Ask "mark" if you want a detailed review, he used to own one. I have played it a few times and it is OK, nothing great in my opinion. It has great collectable value, but the guys are right, not to many people around here that will pay that amount, I definitely will not and if there is, they will want a MINT example or ask for a serious discount. High price machines are tough sells and are also a little bit of the flavour of the month. Today it is BBB, CC seems like yesterday's collectable. Even the mightly MM has seen a price drop. Unless you really love and want the pin, I also say RUN from it. You already have a nice collection to keep you amused, although i am convinced now you enjoy the buying and selling more than playing.
My two cents, but as always, do what you think is best.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
It's a great game but doesn't justify the price. Get a spiderman instead
Best advice yet
CC is not a bad game, but, like others have said, the game play doesn't justify the price. MM, AFM, CV, etc. are all better games. The price is due to the small supply and higher demand for the last Bally DMD pin. Selling it locally would be a HUGE challenge. I cann't think of anyone that would be willing to take it off your hands -- even for a "song" (say $6K USD). Pass on it.
Go out a get a minty MM. You will have no problem selling it, in the meantime you can enjoy a great game, AND put the extra thousand USD or so in the bank.
I couldn't have been more happy when I had the cash in hand when I sold mine, sure its collectible neat theme and all. Its incomplete and fairly easy. Cooke had some play time on mine as well so did monkeybug, dr_menace and necro_nemesis. End result is the game doesnt justify the $$$. Spend the money on MM.

I found Mark's CC to be a very fun game. I didn't get 'into' it too much, but it's definitely an interesting machine. Worth the $$? No way. But then again, I'd have trouble paying much more than $1500 for *any* pin.
Seriously, Jim, I think HP5P is right - you seem to enjoy the buying/selling aspect of the hobby much more than playing. To each their own, I guess, but why not save yourself the hassle (and the money) and enjoy what you have for a while? (This is a sincere question.)

Don't Bother with it Jim If you want to for your collection go for it bout seriously doubt you will enjoy it and want to keep it. This game will be very hard to sell locally and market is always diffrent for the machine. Go for MM,spiderman,Family Guy. Not cc
Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
