If there was an engine and transmission in there, I would say yes. With the upcoming new Camaro release by GM, if some older men who really liked these cars when they were young and don't like the new remake, they might be tempted to buy themselves this old model again.
But I don't think you should bother with just a body since it is $5k worth of Pins here.
Unless you are confident that you will find another one of these cars that is totally wrecked but has an engine and transmission inside (I doubt the odds will be in your favor)....

I personally would do it because I have a soft spot for the 68. My father had one loved it. Plus rebuilt could fetch 30k there’s allot of pins in that. Just my thought. Plus With the new Camero this will indeed make this model worth it.

That Block would do it it had a 396 in it. Not sure thought if it was big or small that I would have to ask my father on that. |

God I love Wikipiedia A 6.5 L (396 in³) 350 hp (261 kW) big block engine was added as an option for the SS, and the Z28 became known by buyers. 7,199 Z28s were sold in 1968.

A nice looking car... worth restoring.
Is it worth a TSPP and Goldeneye? I have no idea. |

it won't take to much to paint and restore.....
Christ, how many times did I tell myself that in the past... Wanna be acurate with a car resto job cost? Easy... triple your estimate and you are usually on the money. Ask yourself a few questions... why is the engine and tranny gone when the car is worth MUCH more with the original parts, even if dead? ... Probably because the owner knows more than he says about the car...because he knows the body or frame is completely shot. If it was a simple Camaro, OK... but an RS/SS??? No reason to part it out, even completely dead. |

Yeah I was gonna say this is an RS with the wrong hood. The stripe around the front was RS. It probably had a 327 in it with a two speed slip and slide automatic. The right hood has two louvers on it.
My buddy has one (a convertible) he restored. Hows inside the trunk? If she's rotten stay away. |
