Hi!
I'm a fan of comic book (even if I want to sell my collection and looking for pinball theme. I already have Gottlieb Spiderman and Hulk and checking for the next one so if you have opinion on:

Judge Dredd: Only play it on Pinmame, not impressed by it but again Pinmame isn't always good for ths kind of pin.

The Batman pins: What do you think of them (accept the Dark knight, wouldn't fit in my budget

Superman: Like the art, game should be correct...

other superhero pin theme I forgot?
Thanks

I'm a big fan of Superman, was my favorite pin in the day.  However, the theme also reflects the ear:  hit target, go for multiple bonus score, go for extra ball, go for special and of course, no multiball. It was a huge widebody, so space is always something to consider.

The Visual Pinball / VPinmame version is actually pretty good, gives you a good impression of the gameplay.

The Batman pins are based on the movies... not the comic. But are close...

Flash Gordon would also fit in this category... FG was an early serial comic book in 1934, and so was Buck Rogers.

Retiring soon...

I,m seriously thinking about it... the problem is I never played it, so I wanted know what people was thinking about it or other pins..

stern Spiderman is an other pin over my budget.. for now :0)

Shadow leaves me a good impression when I played it but I know many people who don't keep it for a long time so I wonder if it's a keeper or not.

Popeye: with all comments on this pin, I will definetly have to try it before thinking shearching for one.

Flash Gordon: why not if I found one cheap some day. Buck Rogers: hate the sound on Pinmame.

other comment?

Judge Dredd is probably the best DMD/modern pin directly based on a comic book. That may be because it's the only one, correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I too hated it in pinmame, but the real one has really grown on me and I'm quite sad that my neighbour hippochrome is selling it <- that's me.

Judge Dredd is a kickass pin. Right from the "2000 AD" comic. Sweet Simon Bisley-like art.... They had one at the Paulson Pool showroom on Conroy road and the guy kicked me out because I was playing it for a half hour.

Here is my 2 cents on what we should see for a new superhero pinball machine.

How about one made from one of the best stories written for the graphic novels ever, a movie from earlier this year - The WATCHMEN !!!

Talk about stunning visuals, amazing eye candy (and you guys know what I mean - Ackerman and latex, well say no more). This is where Stern could set up a nice BG and stop traffic, I am sure it would be very nice indeed.

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon

Face it Hyan,, JD is your only option, and it's a good one! It's underrated IMHO. It's got a ton of modes (some are quite funny), 6 ball multiball, lots of shots, unqiue and fun upper right playfield. For me the pinmame version wasn't very fun because it was a real drainer, I haven't had the same experience on hippo's machine, games last a decent length, definitely longer than the average Shadow game!

Lol, still prefer the ladies vs anything blue. Dr. Manhattan did have an impressive physique, but that is as far as I will comment.

Humm...maybe JD is the only option, didn't get a lot of opinion, comic book pin aren't so popular...  but I think I will go for one that's not based on a movie and go for one with comic art like JD, TMNT, Superman... too bad they won't only release pin based on movie only, but I guess they know the market

Nobody talk about the old Batmans gameplay are they so bad? (Accept they're DE want can you tell me about them?

Judge Dredd is a super fun game, Superman is all class too though.  Superman seems to be more based off the comic than the movies (Lex Luthor is in his wacky green and purple disco suit isn't he?)

Don't think you can go wrong with either game.

I'd love to own a Superman. It's a great playing game, with great art, and I'm a big Superman fan. The only problem is that it's a bit tough to find, and since its an Atari, getting parts for fixing/maintaining can be quite a challenge (so I've heard).
