If anyone wants to take the time to investigate the value of them I will sell for less.
Thanks for looking.
Stargate rarely sells over 800$ on ebay and Defender sells rarely over 1000$ Didn't see Robotron cocktail recently but doubt it will sell much over 1500$ But i just saw a Rolling Stone NOS playfield for 1425$$

Your right. BTW there is a lot of overpriced crap on there too. Stuff I would consider video game restoration starter kit quality and guys are asking big bucks while going on about how nice it is when the pics show 30 year old POS. No more effort than a bottle of Windex will give you for a restoration.
So even all that considered and what I think based on what I have seen are likely some of the creme de la creme of these machines; if they were truly FS I would be quite happy to see those kind of numbers.
By rights I am overstocked by one or two vids. If someone is actually interested in one of these titles for fair value let me know. I can't make up my mind what I would want to sell. Biggest issue is what it would take to buy it back in the same condition down the road.
Yeah, depending the condition. If Stargate and Defender are in collectible condition, the price can be more but Defender always have a greater value than Stargate in the same condition.
Collectible vids like Tron can have a value between up to 2500$ in my opinion. It have the ''movie culture value'' Stargate is not very collectible and there's full of it on the market. Defender was the first Jarvis hits, the game that make a revolution in the arcade, it have more value.

I think Stargate has a lot more refinement. The attract mode is great compared to Defender which is nothing special, but who plays the attract mode?
Defender itself is more blocky in design. Classic black obelisk right out of a Stanley Kubrick film. Simple but very effective. More historically significant too.
HAL your starting to concern me. You know the initial pricing wasn't serious right?
I read your thread objectively. I simply answer your question with the best of my knowledge I agree, Stargate is a lot better game than Defender. I would like to buy a Defender, but simply to complete the Jarvis collection

Although the gameplay improvements in Stargate are integrated in a seamless way, I feel Defender is more pure. Defender is one of those things that just happened to balance out just about perfectly...

Concur. I never really got inviso when the game was out there. Thought it was an escape from really trying to avoid collisions, but in the end inviso becomes part of a totally different gameplay strategy which make Stargate more than a rerun of Defender. That's why I bought both but Defender is my game.
On the cocktail issue. Defender and Stargate suffer from a small monitor. For whatever reason for Robotron they went full 19" which is great. Playing the games on a smaller tube is a bit of detraction.
