Read the guy's reply ?  He actually defends his methods..."I forgot my mask at a buddy's house"   Come on !  And he says he put stuff in the lamp sockets.  So what ?  What about all the stuff hanging below the playfield ?  How about the bumper assembly I see on top of the playfield ?  How can he be pressed for time ?  Was he planning on repopulating the playfield later that night !!!!

What a moron! No personal protection, pitiful installation, WAY too much flow and pressure, WAY too much applied at once, parts not properly protected under the playfield, stuff still sticking out of the playfield, face right in there, fumes allowed to linger and drop back down which causes a grainy surface...

He did NOTHING right.

People... if you ant to do this, please:

- Read a lot on clearcoat
- spend the money on protection and proper equipment
- choose the right materials
- plan your job
- prepare your surface properly

I use this with a full Tyvek suit:



Pricey, especially with the air supply which sends filtered air coming from outside, but I never had a problem, and neither does the playfields.

I also bought a filtration unit to exhaust all fumes, a BA697 from Lev-Co. Very expensive, but works awesome.

You know I wanted so say something funny here but I realized it was quite morbid what the guy was doing. It's even sadder that he would be so proud of himself that he'd post it on YouTube as if he was providing instruction for other hobbiests. He probably smoked a cigarette afterward.


That was a classic "Fail".
