My Robotron, although everything else looks like it was never touched or converted, inside or out; has a control panel that has gone through some conversions. I know it's an original Robotron panel just from digging down the layers, but all of a sudden I get this wafting of bad B.O. stink up from the glue.

Now I don't know if it is years of encapsulated hand sweat (like some twisted variation of a mammoth frozen in the ice discovery) or just the glue, but man does it stink!

Gotta strip that mess off fast before I puke.

It's just the glue...  My Frogger CPO was the same when I removed the original.  NASTY NASTY!

Well it's all gone now. I thought for a few moments there, I may be solely accountable for unleashing the next global epidemic from within the layers overlay.

Combination of torch, goo gone, brake cleaner (yes brake cleaner) and orbital sander. I pulled out all the stops to get the crap off.

Panel is all done and turned out great. Perfect alignment first shot.

Now all I need is original sticks to finish that component.

I did mine a while back:
http://archive.maaca.org/s107351202.onlinehome.us/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1154636544/s-0/

Removing all of the adhesive from the large wooden Williams control panels is a complete pain in the neck.

The new CPO is still holding strong and looking great and it's been well over a year.
