The show hasn't started and I'm already closing my first deal...would you guys pay $3100 USD for a REAL nice TZ????? I would be keeping it so I'm not looking for a flip.
TZs typically go for 3000$-3700$US depending on condition. Things to look for: Powerball present, Powerball detection working in ball through AND under pf ramp, clock working, gumball machine working, and cabinet fade. You have to actually PLAY the game in order to check the mechanical things out. Any of these not working would reduce the value. Fade on the cabinet reduced the value significantly (300$US for a decal set and that still wouldn't be original..
A powerball costs 40$, the coil to detect it is difficult to replace but I would expect in the 50$US range assuming no other issues - over 100$ if the board needs replacing too.. The clock can easily run you 100$+ to fix. Same for the gumball machine. A translite IF you can find one will cost you 300$+ US.

Taxes?????....plus CDN $ at only 1.11 right now makes the timing good...deal is pretty much done...I'm happy...now someone buy my HR Casino so I have space!!!!!
I paid over $4000 for my HUO TZ and I still need to shop it out (original rubbers are cracking and needs a quick polish) and fix the clock. As the others have said, you need to check everything and if "real nice" and everything working 100%, then that is a fair price.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
Well with conversion you're looking at 3300$ Canadian Jim. Add 10% taxes at borders and you're are 3600$.... it would be 15% if you were living in Qc, not sure in Ontario..
I paid 3700$ for mine and everything Mike mentionned is working perfectly + the cabinet looks like new... If its really nice i guess you are right on the price (a fair market price imo).
Currently owning: - Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear ------------------

If you consider Montreal and Ottawa to be "Local" , then you might as well lump in Toronto, and I bet they've got a least 5 or 6 of them too...
As for selling "locally", I wouldn't worry too much about it, everyone seems to want a TZ eventually (...ask Marty, he's bought and sold 6 in the last 4 years ! )
