Way cool, the third monitor for the DMD really makes it. Maybe I can trade 16 of my stored pinballs for one of these and actually get to play? |

Very cool and impressive, but I wouldn't make one for myself. I can play Visual Pinball on my PC already, and frankly, the physics are terrible. |

Probably the best execution I have seen of one of these yet.
Downside is it's virtual. VP to me is a good game evaluation tool to find out if the layout, sound, art etc. is something you like but it ends there for me and then I go hunting for the real deal.
I watched guys at Starburst playing pinball where VP was in the lineup. After pretty much every other machine was occupied people would toy with it and that was about the exent of interest in the game. Let's face it, if you slam the game and get an awesome score people are just going to say it was only a virtual game. |

But it's a great way to play games that you would never consider owning for whatever reason. I agree it's not real and would never be a true replacement for the real thing but man oh man, I had to look hard to see that it was VP from those photos. That dude did one hell of a job.

VP9 physics aren't so bad, they're pretty fun as long as people remember it's not real pinball, it's video pinball.
That's a darn nice machine, lots of pics of it posted at hyperspin forums. |
