Richard (correct me if I am wrong) used to work in Illinois. I am assuming he hasn't changed his Ebay location since moving back to Canada. No nonsense guy. I've had good dealings with him in the past. |

Hi,
Thanks for your interest everyone.
I worked in Chicago between 2000 and 2007. I moved back to Canada (near Kemptville) and bought 150 acres and a horse farm in early 2007. I still work for a Chicago company from my home. My wife does the horses. I do some pinball as a hobby. Anyone is welcome to come by and play them for yourself.
The CF playfield touchup was done before I bought the machine. Looks like someone went over the blue with a magic marker. It shows up in pictures but isn't really noticeable when you play it. I haven't touched the playfield on the CF at all.
I did touch up the Laser Cue playfield in multiple places but they are small and hard to see.
I keep my eBay address in Chicago because the US is a bigger market. I have sold many machines down there including a couple of CFs. I usually get a good bid on them and wanted to continue the trend. I'm hoping a few emails to a couple of Canadian pin groups will spread the word around here too.
I use eBay Turbolister 2 which is restricted in shipping selections. I tired to make it say "See ad" but it didn't work. Shipping and setup is only $100 to Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and anything in between near the 401 and 416. It's not free but it's a great deal!!
Happy Bidding! |

I wish you great success, but I'm not entirely sure it's kosher with eBay to have a verified address in one country, but actually exist and ship from another. Besides, like expressed in this thread, it makes you look suspect since the typical "bait and switch" in pinball is "well the machine is in the US, but I am in the UK right now, so send me the money there and my uncle will deliver the pin". On the other hand, if we know you're legit, and "they" suspect not, then it gives "us" a better shot at your auctions now doesn't it .... hmmmmm... |

Hi,
I hope my 501 rating will show I'm legit but you have a good point. To tell you the truth, I'm having second thoughts about the Laser Cue. Hitting the targets in order can be a challenge. It's a fun game.
Happy Bidding!!

Hey CRDAD1, it's not the rating that's the problem, it's the fact that people often steal eBay/PayPal accounts, particularly one with good ratings when the owner hasn't been actively selling pins in a while and posts a nice pricey pin to get the cash (by changing the Pay Pal account) and run. That was the very first thought that crossed my mind (and some others) when we saw the whole Chicago vs. Canada thing. |

Hi,
I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for pointing this out. I'm going to add my Chicago and Ontario numbers to the ad. Please let me know if you can thing of something else to make the ad look legit. |
