Ran into a problem while changing my brakes (rotors) and I'm hoping someone here can help...

3 of 4 are compete with no problems (pads and rotors) but the last one kicked my in the face.  There's a small phillips screw on each rotor in the rear (2 on each in the front) that holds the rotor in place.  When  I started to take this screw out it stripped and because I am a  stubborn idiot it is now completely stripped.  Any thoughts on how to remedy this?  I know that Canadian Tire sells drill kits that you drill a hole, screw in a bit into that hole then wrench it out but I'm told these are not always reliable.  I'm already in deep but I'd rather not dig myself in deeper if I can avoid it.

Any advice would be welcome!

Thanks.

Taken care of... drilled the head off the screw, changed the rotor.  I will need to get the shank out at some point in the near future though.  Not sure how safe it is to be driving around without it.

I assume this is for your Tucson/Sante Fe? Shouldn't be a problem. Those screws were in place simply to align the disc at assembly. Once your wheel nuts are properly torqued, it will be fine. Even the fact that part of the screw is still there will align the disc. Many manufacturers had these screws, and 99.9% of them were always stripped.
