I was checking the "Sent" folder on my PM's to verify something ,
and noticed that my last saved "Sent" PM was dated May 31st.

I have sent many more since then, but none show up in my "Sent" folder.

Is it just me ?  ( have I exceeded some limit or something ?   I have 500+ sent messages),
or did something happen when the site got updated at roughly that same time ?

Just curious ...

There is a pick under preferences you must select for it to save sent messages. Mine got changed also on the update.

There is also a check box under your message window that needs to be checked off in order for your messages to be saves in your sent messages folder.


We did mention this before.........I think

since we are on the topic of forum upgrades .. the link on the left hand side of maaca.org labeled 'Forums' usually opened up the portal.
Now it directs to the equivalent of the home link.  Could this be fixed?

Yes, I liked when that link opened the Portal too...

That, or have a new "Portal" Link there as opposed to one a the bottom of the home page.
(which, by the way, brings you back to the home page everytime you hit the refresh button )

I like the Portal too. Always browse from there. You can still access it from the HOME page though

i'm having the same problem but am curious if the tickbox advice is still valid because when i go into preferences, it wants me to select the tickbox "do not save messages in sent folder" so i'm assuming the default behaviour is that it save the sent pms. and i must select to disable..

so what's the solution.

I had the same issue.
How I 'fixed' it:
Checked off the "do not save messages in sent folder" option and saved my settings.
Then I went back and deselected the "do not save messages in sent folder" option, then saved my settings again.
Everything was fine after that.
