I believe Sopranos actually did quiet well for Stern. It was recently re-ran. Also I've spoke to a few local ops that have told me it makes some good $$$
Oh then they did revert to the kind of quality components Williams had in their games? If they actually did something innovative and put some quality back in it would be front page news. Same old Stern mess... different wrapper.
Admit it Duane. Same quality issues. Same lackluster physics.

Don't mind Glen Duane, he's just bitter because he sucks and doesn't know how to play a real player's pin like LOTR
I love how you all run for the safe shelter of LOTR when it comes to discussing Stern having any merit. It's like using an umbrella to protect yourselves from a nuclear strike.

Good one, Necro.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
I assume the Kazoo would be MB, or mabye Tom and the Stadivarius would be LOTR or possibly SPP
Nope LOTR is the kazoo, SPP the banjo, Spiderman destined to be the ukulele. Stern did build a washboard and a bottle somewhere in there as well. MB is the Stadivarius and TOM the Steinway.
By the way, on most games of LOTR I can get a replay and play for an exceeding long time. Which is really really painful and at the end I think my eyes are bleeding... or maybe that's just the artwork wearing off. So why own it?

I've seen you play. Did you have the LOTR set on 5 ball? !
Yea I can play for a long time to when all I do is cradle the ball
Replay by default on LOTR is 16 Mil, if your happy with a 16 mil score and a long ball time then I think I've proven my point, lol!
If you like looking at games, if you care more about feel and look and artwork then the way they play. Fine I'll give that to you Glen, from a collectors standpoint Williams and Bally are the better machines. They look nicer, they are built better they make nicer collector pieces.
But from a players stand point, which I am, I can only think of one maybe 2 Bally/Williams titles that come close to the depth and challenge that LOTR and SPP offer. TZ and CV are the only 2 games that come close to that level of challenge and depth that LOTR and SPP offer. So from a purely players standpoint 2 sterns in my mind are un matched in their depth and challenge. I've owned LOTR for almost 2 years now, I've logged 300 - 400 plays and I've come close to getting valinor once maybe twice. I can't say that about a single Williams/Bally title I've ever owned.
So if you want a nice game to look at, sure buy a MB, buy a TOM, buy a MM. But you want a real challenge something that will keep you coming back for more get a LOTR, get a SPP.
