I think I may have mentioned this before,
but I was wondering how hard it would be to have
a MAACA on-line pinball game owners list ?
Something simple like this :
http://www.arcade.chezsuys.com/PinOwners.htmIn order for it to manageable, it would need for each member
to keep their own games list up to date.
It would crazy to think an Admin could keep this up-to-date
with the amount of churn going on in this group.
Of course, if you allow people to update the list themselves,
you have to be careful to eliminate abuse (or negligence)
where someone alters someone else's entries.
I'm just throwing this idea around for a couple of reasons....
1- It would be neat to see the entire "repertoire" or games owned by MAACA members
2- You could see if anyone else has one of your game in case you needed tech help
(...or to find out if where to go to play a MM, MB or CV ! )
3- It could also be used as a quick way to find out who is selling a game
by highlighting that person's name next the game he is selling.
In the example I gave above, MonkeyBug (in Red) is (or was) selling a FH.
But Like I said, this would only work if there was an easy (and secure) way
for each member to keep their list up-to-date, and only if it was a small
one-time setup effort by the admins.
Food for thought...
Cheers,
Steph
