DAMN! That sucks! I never understand why ops solder directly to the board, especially in this case where EVERY wire is soldered to the board. Seems it would take more effort than simply replacing the connector.
Ouch! Hope those drop targets are fairly common. Still, for $450 CDN I guess it isn't that bad assuming it is otherwise working -- not that I would pay $450 for it. Could be alot worse. Duane
Duane, did you look at the cab? the flacking BG, the now 3-player game? the INSERT WEAR???
This is a low-prod machine (500)....so good luck in finding anything for it!
The only 'good' part is that the keypad is still in the machine...
I wouldn't pay more than $100 (mostlikely LESS) and I would part it...and I'm still positive that you won't get $100 in parts out of that clunker...

At least the seller doesn't say it's "nice" or "not hacked".. Typical Ebay stuff isn't it - withhold as much info as possible... Then he can say that it's just as described.. "All I said was that it works" and "it never had sound so I assumed it wasn't supposed to....."

Crap! I took a better look and you are right. Ouch! The buyer is going to be pissed when he picks it up. What a damn shame.
BTW, I think there is more than $100 in parts. Just the boards (even if hacked) are worth something assuming they are working. Not something I would want. Hope the buyer isn't picky.
As quoted by TwilightZone, that as-is machine, even with all its flaws, is worth a lot more than $100, complete or parted-out.
I have paid a lot more than $100 for similar projects in the past
Although very simplistic play and too easy, I did enjoy playing jvegas101's Lady Luck pinball machine when he had it - great sounds, especially when cranked-up (unfortunately no speech on this game).
Cheers, - Sylvain
Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, 1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others. Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!
IMHO, there's not a lot of 'salvageable' stuff on this machine...
The only thing I see are 'as is / hacked' boards, the coin door, a few displays, the keypad, some under pf machanisms and some pf plastics...oh! and the legs...
OK, OK, maybe $150, but just the trouble of dismantling everything, the time spent on listing these items, etc... it's not really worth it...I wish the best of luck to the new owner!
