I asked the seller of THIS MACHINE where it's located.

This was his response:
Quoted Text
the machine is in flambrough near the city of hamilton, i live in toronto, i may get time to show it to you on the weekend . leave me your number and i can call you to set something up.

Jim

While he has signed it "Jim", the user name "Sound_store1 and the incorrect spelling of "Flambrough" certainly carries all the hallmarks of Stephan Anderson/Mark Uttley/Whateverhisname is.

Buyer beware.

My sentiments exactly.  The tell tale sign is his previous purchase of a nagra reel to reel recorder, and that he does another thing consistently that always gives him away (or at least makes it much more likely it's him).  Who knows if it's legit, if he accepts cash on pick-up.  He may be the type of scammer that has legit items for sale, but scams someone if the opportunity is right (or ripe), like a long distance purchaser, or someone who takes advantage of his "pay now and store until Christmans offer".  No one whose dealt with him recently (last 6 months) has come forward to say they've been swindled (except his previous girl friend), I think.

Did anyone here bid and win that Big Guns of his?  I noticed that the winner was located in Ontario.  It went for an inflated price (albiet within Mr. Pinball specs).

Also, Mr. Anderson is posting on craigslist again: http://toronto.craigslist.org/clt/438713566.html

Another suspicious listing (the third in a row, but the first without pictures and a different email address): http://toronto.craigslist.org/clt/439124581.html
