But it seem to have only 1 led per bulb. I ordered some at canadapinballparts and each bulb have 3 led. Its probably making a huge difference with 3 led compared to 1!!
I have some LED's from there, I like them a lot!.

All the bulbs I have bought have only one bulb....and they seem pretty bright to me......It would be intresting to compare the two. I put some super white LED bulbs in my TOM for the magic tricks, and when a few are lit....they hurt your eyes.Going to have to change them to normal white LEDS I think

Its the same for my lethal weapon , some white insert with the new led are too bright, i change it for yellow led under white insert for the 5 stunt value and its look great.
currently owning:
Lethal weapon , Taxi , Big Guns , Tee'd off , Tag Team ( project ) , Hang Glider ( project ) .
Gone: Road Show Freddy Back to the future Rocky and Bullwinkle
wow...those leds from Canada Pinball are $2 each.......I will have to stick to the single LED style as I have a few more macines I want to do.And at that price it would take me awhile. I have probably built/bought over 300 LEDS so far and probably havent spent more than $250.00
So far I have partially done PinBot and TOM.......Cyclone and Party Zone have all the inserts done.......and right now I am doing all the inserts on my BSD.I still havent decided if I will do GI or not.........but so far the inserts make a big improvement

Sorry for yesterday ' s french version ... I must ' ve thought i was on the french channel ... Here ' s a pic of how i learned to make leds some 4 years ago , using 10 mm leds and 120ohms resistors , but shaving the top square , WOW ... got to try it ...
Dumb a** question, but how do you solder into the socket? Its seems a chicken and egg challenge to get the solder, wire and iron inside the bulb socket? Or do you solder first the leads, the solder on the LED to the leads?
I find it works well in Sci-Fi games.... but a little goes a long way.
The lights are VERY bright and vibrant, which often throws off the image of older games (i.e. pre DMD).
I would recommend you buy a limited supply of colours, and test them out. Once you decide where the lights should go, then go out and buy them seperately.
I have been considering installing LEDs in one of my older games just to see the effect. I spoke with a representative of a company selling them in Allentown (same one that had the anti-glare cabinet glass) and they told me that a rule of thumb was to get a LED of the same color as the insert, or else it looks bad. at 1-2$ a bulb, it is something to think about, especially when I get my packs of ten standard bulbs for 89 cents.
I have done a few machines now...just inserts..people cannot believe the differnce in the colors..My TOM is all LEDS inserts and it looks amazing.Pinbot also looks really good I did my cyclone in LEDS and it looks like a whole different game
And as Sparky said....you should use the same color LED as the insert.........as using a white one will look different.
On Cyclone the 2X 3X 4X etc inserts are light blue......I used white and blue LEDS to give off different shades of blue...looks amazing.
I will try and take a few pics when I get home and post them here
