Some of you have been wondering what I needed a pic of Rudy's ears for.. (I managed to find a video on Youtube that gave me somewhat of an idea as to how they look for now)
Soooo I thought I'd show you all. I'm making a Rudy head keychain, hand-sculpted (and soon to be hand-painted) by yours truly. If there's any interest in these, I'm going to cast a mold of my prototype so that I can produce more. If not, I'll sell this one-of-a-kind piece on Ebay. Ultimately, i'm just trying to fund my hobby in other ways.. (and hopefully make back some of the money I've lost recently to the scammer in Alberta).

I can't paint this one just yet, I still have to cast the mold.

It's an artist's interpretation, he can try all he wants but there's nothing that says I can't sell my art. I could, for example, do the same with a Super Mario sculpture. Maybe I'll just call him.. "DUDY" instead

I love it. How durable is the stuff your going to cast with?
The reason I ask is it would be nice to reproduce some new mods like the camera if your into casting. I think the best mod would be a TAF chair but put in a board to boost the voltage enough to have a mini jacobs ladder effect between the halo and the arms on the chair (don't know what the long term effect of the ozone inside the pf would be though). That or cast it in clear and embed a small plasma lamp in the back of it.
Just on Shadow alone guys are always looking for those warriors.

That stuff looks almost rubbery from the pictures.
I guess another good question before we all get ahead of ourselves ordering 20 diffrent things for Brock to make would be, what do you think the price point would be for the keychain?
Thanks for the feedback!! I haven't thought about price just yet, I'll have to see how easy it is to reproduce first. The first model took about 6 - 8 hours to make, so I'll obviously have to cut that down to make it worth while (as I can't expect people to pay too much for a keychain, hand made or not). I've never even thought of selling them unpainted, but I'll keep it in mind!
What do you think you'd pay for a keychain? I may just sell one on Ebay to get an idea and shave a little (or a lot) off for the MAACA crew, depending
Some great custom ideas! I love the Pyramid idea, I may do that next.. and a Terminator. Some others though, like a Corvette or an Enterprise, you can find those keychains everywhere.. I'd like to keep them unique

I would LOVE to see Wayne try to go after someone for a single one-off $10 item. If he does send one of his silly e-mailed and totally-not-legal-in-any-way C&D "letters", I say Brock should keep on doing what he's doing unless a real, hard copy, legal document shows up in a "you've been served" kind of way. If he's gonna be king douche, let him at least be out the lawyer fees for a truly legitimate C&D letter. I don't understand why everyone gets all uptight when they get an e-mail from Wayne saying "stop doing what you're doing". He doesn't have a leg to stand on unless he follows proper legal procedure. And considering it was IPB who released FH playfields, there's a distinct possibility that Wayne doesn't have the rights for FH anyway. The only way to find out for sure is to just let him try to stop you.

The cheques and Wayne's C&D letters are part of arcade history, just as much as any promo poster of a pin or vid.

Regardless, if he hassle's me I'll just re-list it as "Rudy's twin brother", no biggy. It's not an exact reproduction by any means, so it probably differs enough from the original IP to get away with it. For example, the red dots on his nose and cheeks aren't feathered (I'm still trying to figure that one out!)

The way I look at though is by Wayne not playing ball with these other producers and figuring out a fair royalty amount to pay on items he stands to be one of the biggest to lose. In 2010 should he not get the license and be sitting on all this inventory and production equipment who is going to be willing to let him sell anything?
