Just use a crowbar... shouldn't take more then a few seconds to remove the head.

So, removing the head-pretty simple.  It turns out that all the connectors are not only labeled on the board, but just about all of the plugs have filled in pins so they can't be plugged in the wrong way.  Yeah, you have to undo some of the nice wire braiding that they've done, but that's not all that bad.  

Even with the head off though, the body is still too heavy to get down to the basement on my own.  Now I just need to find help to move the rest of the machine.  Then we find out how well I labeled everything
