OOOoooooooh... the evil question! I just thought I would stir things up a bit! What videogames would you absolutely love to own, and would even trade a pin or two or more for? ... name 10!
Me? easy... I won't put Wizard of Wor or Missile Command since I have them, so here goes:
1- Death Race by Exidy. I was lucky to play this as a kid. Simple as hell, but overall cool. Awesome cab and art, and just the whole mythos behind it, makes you want to take the wheel and become Frankenstein or Machine gun Joe Viterbo!
2- Star Wars cockpit. Just a cool game with an awesome looking cab. I love the vector games...
3- a WORKING environmental Discs of Tron... because I had a BUSTED environmental Discs of tron which was a frickin nightmare to fix, but I got it working for 2 hours (out of 14 months...) and I loved it even then.
4- Indy 800 ... can you just imagine 8 guys playing this thing at a meeting, with beers in hand? OMG...
5- Warrior by Vectorbeam. The first real fighter game... eons ahead of it's time, and awesome looks.
6- Space War by Vectorbeam... the granddaddy of em all. I still consider this the first game of all time... it was just commercialized later on.
7- Battlezone ... don't you wish they made this as a cockpit? I would write that I would like the military-version, but no one has ever seen it...
8- Defender... need I say why?
9- Crossbow ... I love all the Exidy shooters, but Crossbow is awesome!
10- Spy Hunter cockpit... c'mon... who doesn't get cranked when the Peter Gunn theme comes on...
Whats that Shap pain in my back Oh it's a Knife Complete MAACA-Wacko!

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
1 - Robotron 2 - Lunar Lander 3 - Space Harrier cockpit 4 - Star Wars cockpit (how can that not be on everyone's top 10? 5 - Dragon's Lair 6 - Champion Sprint 7 - Tron 8 - Star Fire cockpit 9 - Daytona multiplayer cockpit 2/4 player? (was there any other version?) 10 - That Sega cockpit flying game, what's it called again? R360? Just for the thrill of it, have no idea if the game is any good
There are probably a few more that could swap in and out of that list, but that's the best I can come up with on the spot. I know I'll probably be the only dude who puts Star Fire on that list but what can I say, it left a profound affect on me. I think it was the first sit-down cab I ever came across, they had it at some arcade at the Place du Centre in Hull.
Hmm, a lot of Pin heads will laugh at this thread, but here goes:
1. 720 Degrees (Atari) - What amazing controller and great soundtrack! 2. Q*Bert (Gottlieb) - A true classic of that era. 3. Dragon's Lair (Cinematronics) - Reminds me of the times I used to spend in the arcade - thrilled with th animation and yet frustrated that this cost 50 cents to play! 4. Joust cocktail (Williams) - Amazing looking cocktail. 5. Jr. Pac-Man (Midway) dedicated (Mappy cabinet) - Beautiful cabinet design/colors. 6. Space Ace (Cinematronics) - Fast paced and stunning animation. 7. Spy Hunter sitdown (Bally/Midway) - stunning cabinet (I can't believe I didn't buy that backglass at the time at Alouette darn it). 8. Star Wars cockpit (Atari) - 25" vector graphics! 9. Super Bagman (Stern) - Just because it is rare red orange/cabinet. 10. Super Sprint (Atari Games) - 3 player short and cute cabinet.
