Well a year and a bit into the hobby and my wife & I have got a bit of a gameroom going.
There's still BSD upstairs with reset issues; and Sinbad in the workshop with Pascal's X4 board waiting to be plugged in... ...and a garden that needs weeding, planting, mulch,

NICE! Congrats on the game room and the nice purchases. Really nice selection of games there. Haven't played Diner is awhile. Great Sys 11.
Like you, I'm working on my game room right now...actually my wife is. I am SO LUCKY!!! We moved in April 15th and have been working like dogs to get the house in order. I really miss my basement and haven't got any games set up. She offered to paint it this weekend provided I look after the kids. Am I lucky or what?
Duanne, thanks for not dishing Hurricane - Actually I kind of like it - for sure its not in the same league as other DMD's but for an easy to understand game for guests that has a bit of humor but still has "elevators" and multiball its not bad. That said - its the next for sale..., or going to Grandpa's house.
Powerslave, yeah, Bobby Orr was tough for us to find - but it was on our list early on. Jen found it on rgp - a guy named Gary Brewer (http://groups.google.com/group.....lay#1a4d9e88704727d1). We made a mini-vacation out of it (without kids) so it was fun. We should have a minvan though and brought back 2 games.
Gary was nice to deal with - he is more of an EM / woodrail guy. He has a few more games for sale now I have noticed in rgp. The High Speed had too much wear for my tastes. His price for BOPP was high - but it was in good shape - and although almost 14,000 were made we haven't seen too many for sale here in Ottawa. The game could use the real drop targets, but otherwise is in good shape. I think there's one cracked/chip plastic - but it doesn't bug me.
I'd say if she is painting your gameroom on a long weekend, you have a keeper
Duane
For sure she's a keeper! That's awesome!
Gotta say, I have a keeper in another way, this was her laundry room for 6 years - actually it was panelled in for most of that time - so no room to move & horrendous coma-causing lighting. It had the awful failing balast-flourescent light and everything. No complaints from her - ever!
These photos are what the gameroom/kids room look liked 18 months ago.
Since then - framing / insulation / electrical / wiring / drywall / painting / furniture - and pinballs scattered in throughout. Actually, Jen's the one that has the feeds for kijiji / craiglist / maaca - looking for the pins we want...
...I think we are down to wanting AFM after we both played it @ Rochester.

That's 'cause you haven't tried MB yet.. Trust me...
I'm a short drive away

Dracula (BSD) just returned to the game room this weekend. Thanks to Brett (tinyrodent) who borrowed BSD for a while. Brett fixed many issues on the machine (BR2, capacitors, broken flashers (tip102's), wrong flipper coils, incredibly dirty subways, warped plastics, bulbs, new rubbers, ...). Slowly realizing I love the quick games - probably why I like the EM's & early SS's - and BSD is a quick game for me - SDTM and a lot of side-draining.
