There has been no response from that seller. My guess is that game was sold within minutes of being posted. I'll take a Star Gazer in any condition for $600 all day long.

Hmmmm. I guess one man's "it had no backglass" is another man's "any condition for $600 all day long"
Very interesting - lol

OMG! What were all you guys on at Scott's party?????? 2 hours playing a machine and everybody has to have it now? .
I can see the interest based on that backglass but what makes it such a great game? I really want to know as I'm trying to learn to appreciate the older games and I will admit I really liked cooke's Lightning and the Flash Gordon and Space Shuttle at Allentown but I didn't really warm to this one. Altho I am the first to admit I suck at older games and the whole rules/points/strategy thing...
So? What's the answer from all you "Star Gazer owner" wannabes???

ME
We are just giving COOKE the gears because he is looking for that game. It does have a great back glass but so does CATACOMB, IRON MADEN and VIPER(all PG rated) We were all on alcohol x 2 or x4-6 We played STARGAZER FOR 2 HOURS STAIGHT! A lot of MAKERS MARK SWEET BURBAN and coke for TSLAM and alot of beer for the crew.It is a fast game that is very rare to find and we all had fun playing it.
CATACOMB has a deeper rule set and to get the 3 ball multi ball going is not easy. Every light in the game is important, once you figure out the back box bagatel you can start multiballs easier.
AFM TOTAN INDIANA JONES FT ES NGG CHEXX BUBBLE HOCKEY CATACOMB STAR POOL also a collection of CRAP that is always getting bigger
YES! Tglover is a crackhead! Complete MAACA-Wacko!

If you really want a good breakdown of what to shoot for etc etc, talk to Cooke. (but you already KNEW that right?) For me, it was all about the spinner and pop bumper action. To get all 3 spinners goin' it felt like you accomplished something, and when that happens the sounds this game makes is just sooooo cool. Overall it was just plain fun to try and kick the machine's a**, but usually it ends up the other way around.
If I found one for a reasonable price I would SOOOOO pick one up. (sorry Cooke)
I think achohol may have been a factor.... but really, what a fun game, Menace has it right! We played that sucker easy 20 times in a row ( with four players! ).
Get those spinners going, wow, huge scores. I also thought the metal scoops under the slings made this a pretty unique game. Pretty smooth playing game. This is one "old school" Stern I would definately consider owning. The backglass goes without saying.
