Sorry but this comment means your opinions lose all credibility.  Temple of Doom was the best!!  Sorry but that is simply the truth of the matter.

... you really are serious, are you? Temple was fun, but by no means matched Raiders. Crusade was good as well, but I say comes in second place. This last one was a third, almost fourth, but by no means bad at all.

I agree with the comments about the story... I found it a bit short on intrigue. Usually Indy movies lead you through clues and such. Not so much this one. But overall I enjoyed it. Good fun.

I believe that this movie will suffer from a similar fate as the newer Star Wars movies, but without it being bad. The hype was SO built up for this movie that people expect to walk onto an Oscar winning movie on all points. I walked into the theater with the same attitude I had in 1989, 1984 and 1981... just to have fun!

I haven't seen #4 yet, But I have seen #2 and it is a Bad Movie in almost every way. Go watch it again, you will be amazed, The effects are terrible, the puppets/statues in the mine cart, Kate Capshaw    How did she even get in this movie?? Oh yeah, Spielberg's Wife! The Plane crash in the mountains with the rubber raft, watch that thing fall from the sky and then the plane explosion as they jump! And that is just off the top of my head! Bleah. Really, I wanted it to be good and I used to defend it and then, I watched it again... No thanks. Bad as it was done, I did get a kick out of the mine cart chase and I like that video mode in the first IJ Pin.

The New one better be better than that!

Dave

Temple of Doom was incredible!  It is underrated.  Great beginning in a niteclub scene.  Lovely actress compared to other ones in other two movies.  Amazing glowing stones, and evil Mola-Ram.  The soundtrack was just amazing.  The only thing that Crusade had over it was the humor added by Sean Connery.  The only thing that Raiders had over it was the the great snake filled pit/cave with the ark and the final scene.

As I read what I just wrote above, I have come to realize that I loved the first 3 movies but was disappointed with #4.  Still, it will make a lot of money and have us (and others around the world) talking about it for the next few weeks.

Enjoy.

Speaking of traditional, the 69? Cougar is a great improvement over the last avatar.

Hey thanks - thats the first nice comment anyone has made to me on here jj. . .

With respect to Temple of Doom - I just love the part where the guy gets his heart ripped out - now that's what makes a movie!!

Saw the movie...
Didn't like it.
-The bad guys just kept showing up no matter where Indy and his crew went....I know its supposed to be that kind of movie, but this was pretty halfass
-Shia Labeauf trying to be a "tough guy" was just silly
-And MAN was Indy ever old....gawd! Seeing him hobble around was just depressing.

p.s. George Lucas' name was all over the opening credits...so, he certainly stuck his finger in this masterpiece.

After seeing him playing a kid as my kids watched Even Stevens growing up, I just can't take this guy seriously in any role.

I suppose just like everything on a forum that is a matter of opinion.  The 428 would ROAR and definately out race my 351 4BBL but they did not make the Eliminator in a convertible.  I only bought the car to put the top down and take my kids out for a spin.

1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible.  351 Cleveland.  Factory installed: air, cruise, power windows, AM/FM.  Red with red leather interior.  under 60,000 original miles.  numbers matching.  1 of 83.

I know, you still would take the 428 Eliminator.  It is more rare, tougher to find and worth a hell of a lot more than mine
