If people are tight now, then when are they not tight? I thought the fall is the time to sell games, and that it's nearly impossible to sell a pin in the summer.

I think there's just way too many pin shows lately.. and twice in the same year, in the same town is definitely pushing it..
Ya, it's a bit silly. Why not spread the love and have one in Ottawa?

It seems the biggest issue with a Canadian show will be shortage of vendors. Since Americans aren't supposed to sell in Canada and vise versa, it makes it tough to do a complete show up here. That's probably part of the reason there was a show in Niagara Falls US in the summer even though the Canadian side is so much nicer. Even there, they did not attract very many vendors.
Gotta travel to the heart of things for parts buying, I guess. Which I plan on doing next spring, hopefully.
From Talking to Mike and Nick about the TGS, sponsors generally don't commit money, they'll commit some games or equipment, maybe some prizes but rental costs on that hall or wherever you have the event are all on the organizers to hopefully make up in admission fees/table fees.

Yup sponsership is a real nice idea but mostly unrealistic when you are talking about putting on a show (and Adam didn't talk about stuff like logistic equipment and such) a small show could be done with sponsers but the paying public is a biggy for a show in today's environment.
