Rick @ BAA isn't too bad. He's screwed up my order a couple times but nothing major, and the best part is he's ALWAYS made good in the end.
All the usuall suspects each have their strengths and weaknesses. You'll need to buy from all of them eventually as none of them seem to have everything you need.

Mirrors my experience completely, I have to buy a bit from here, a bit from there, including eBay.
I have been buying from Steve Young (The Pinball Resource) for more than 15 years, and have always been happy with him and the parts. It is better to send him an email with an accurate description of the parts and qty needed, as they are often difficult to get over the phone, and sometimes he may appear as a little impatient with newbies. But he has a huge inventory of parts. The drawback is that he is not accepting PayPal, so one must pay with an international US Money Order. http://www.pbresource.com
Like the others said, there is no one-stop shop, and sometimes eBay is the way to go.
Cheers, - Sylvain.
Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, 1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others. Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!
For a local source I find Starburst the best. I order a ton of parts from the, allot of the more common stuff, rubbers, flipper rebuild stuff, springs, switches. Any of the normal pinball stuff. Anything obscure I deal with the US parts dealers. I prefer to deal local as you save on shipping costs. Dave at Starburst Toronto reminds me allot of Steve Young at Pinball resource in that he gets bitchy if the order isn't right and he hates when you add things on at the last minute to orders. Other then that I allways get my parts, if in stock, pretty much next day.

I've never ordered from Starburst so forgive my ignorance but....
1- Do they only stock generic stuff ( bulbs, rubbers, etc..), or could I get , say, a fliptronic flipper rebuild kit ?
2- How do their prices compare to US suppliers ? (...factoring taxes, exchange rates and shipping... ) How much is a box of 555's for instance ?

As much as I hate Starburst auction practices, I totally agree with Adam. Yes you may pay a little more, but they have all the basics or they can order them pretty quickly. I usually Fax Dave my order and he it ready when I get there, could not ask for anymore.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
The have the basics, let me put it this way, I've finished putting my CC and touched up TAF playfield back in my machine.
Starburst had pretty much all the parts I needed, switchs, flipper parts, armatures, star posts, rubbers, alomst everything. The only thing I couldn't get from them was the Plastic set, which I had to order from Marco.
But they don't do the kits and things like that, you have to break down the order by part number. So no rubber kits or flipper rebuild kits or anything like that. Just take your manual and write down the part # with quantity and description and most likely they will have it.
Like Enzo said, their auction pratices are BS, but I never have a problem ordering parts from them.
