Unknowing what it took to get her pinball machine working my little 4 year old girl loves playing IJ with her daddy.

Makes it all seem well worth it in the end

Sweet setup! Yeah, I get the same feeling as well when my 2-year-old son points out the pins in my office and says:

" PEE-BAW!!! PEE-BAW!!! "

His fun is launching the balls!!!

Retiring soon...

I was over at cooke's on Sunday and it was adorable watching his daughter playing Flight 2k. She can hardly reach both flipper buttons at the same time with it being a widebody, but she was having a hoot anyhow.

I'm planning on being a father by the end of next year (if everything goes according to plan that is) so I am looking for to being able to share my hobbies with my kids too.

Currently Owning:
Vids- Road Blasters, Road Runner, Joust, Golden Tee 2005
Pins- Back to the Future, Theatre of Magic, Joker Poker, Grand Tour, Hyperball

Previously Owned:
Vids- Far too many to list
Pins- High Speedx2, The Shadow, Mystic.

Its funny how kids love pins and arcade games.  I have a 7 year old who brags about his "arcade" in the basement.  And I have a 19 month old who points at the pinball machines to play.  Then he will push the launch buttons and hold his hand over the buttons to make sure no one else touches them !!!  I love watching my kids in awe of the lights and sounds.
Kids are also great as an excuse to get more !!  Or to get off my butt and fix them ---- Well or at least to pay someone else to because with kids in tae kwon do, swimming, piano lessons, basketball, gymnastics and hockey theres no time --- thanks Grauwulf

My 7 year old used to love the pinballs, but without a games room, one or two titles gets boring pretty quick.  It's been eclipsed by Wii at the moment...    However, BK2K continues to be a family favourite, and if I pull the "I can beat your pants off at pinball." routine I can get a challenge game in.

Its weird that the only machine I have that really excites my 2 year old is IJ...she pushes over the bar stool and peers over the side while I'm playing, dribbling all over the glass, and laughing like crazy with every sound. ( Thank god for windex!). Then of course she wants to control the rt.flipper...MINE MINE DADA!!! Not exactly the recipe for a clean machine or a high game to date, but priceless for sure, especially when Mommy is near and sees how much her daughter is loving Pinball!!!!
