Very basic website about the Tournament I will be running at the Toronto Pinball and Gameroom show in May.
I will also be looking for volunteers soon. Volunteers will get free entry into the show if you put in a TBD amount of volunteer hours.
Anyway just looking for feedback at this point on the site, it's plain, I know, I'm not the greatest web developer in the world but it serves it purpose to inform I think.
So feedback please, what's missing, what would you like to see, things like that, would like to start getting this out on other places like IFPA and stuff by next week so I can start getting some exposure.
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)
Gone Fairy, Secret Service, Meteor x3, Title Fight, Eight Ball Deluxe, Bone Busters Inc., Seawitch, Starship Troopers, Strange Science, Arena, Hook, Pin*Bot x2, Time Warp, Motordome, Robocop, Black hole, Jurassic Park , Wipe-Out, Pinball Pro: Challenger I, Swords of Fury, Stargate, Party Zone
I'd like to run a classics division, I just need to come up with a prize and machines and the like.
Mike Hanely at the church has offered up the machines, but I have to come up with a prize. since I'm already 2K in the hole for prize money before taking in a single entry for A and B division. I'm hesitant to offer up more cash as I'm still not 100% confident I'll make up all the current costs.
I doubt it, the price is deceiving, and that is kinda the point. I'll have 7 machines, the price is $4 for each entry or 4 for $10. With 7 machines each player needs to play each one in order the even think about qualifying. So at minimum they will be playing 7 entries, which is $20 in the A division. Then assuming they didn't just have 7 stellar games, they are going to have to pay more to up their scores on specific machines.
I really don't see that people would be willing to pay more then that.
I don't know if it's possible, but when "I" win, I'd like a SS or EM machine as a prize. Perhaps a cheap project can be picked up and brought back to working condition cheaply? After all, whomever wins will 99% chance be a Pinhead, so they will be able to restore the machine further is they choose.
Just my 2 cents.
Great idea about the tournament. I'm looking forward to it.

You could offer up your RFM as a donation!
I'm sure Adam is busy enough as it is putting this whole thing together, but if you managed to dig up a pin to donate as the prize I'm sure Adam wouldn't turn it down.
I'm happy to do all the leg work for running the tournament, I'm just not willing to take on any more of the financial responsibility.
If someone wants to pony up prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for a classics division I'll run the division. Any money I take in from the Classics would be given to the person who offers up the prizes. But just like the risk I'm taking with the A/B division, if it comes up short it comes up short, that's the risk you run.
