"Director's cut" isn't an adjustment.  It's in the "install" menu.  It's basically a preset of a whole bunch of adjustments.  It also makes DTR a 2-ball multiball.

Hope that helps!

Mike

Yeah, I went through the adjustment menu on the weekend looking for Bash Balrog but it's called Consolation Balrog or something.  Gonna enable it just for kicks.

I set my game to director's cut. I did make one other change as well. I changed Two Tower MB to difficulty to medium (I think). This changes the way MB is achieved. By default, you only need to spell KEEP and then lock the three balls. I found this too easy. By changing the setting you have to spell KEEP for each lock.

I checked my adjustments.  Balrog consolation is set to 'Both' already.  How do you trigger Balrog Bash?  I've had this game for over a year and have never seen it.  Is there another setting?

The ball being stuck near the tower is fixed, just had to over-tighten a bolt on the right side of the tower to move it back a millimeter or so.

I have a line of some original figures and test plastics (thanks for the post Medvet).  I will also buy some cheaper alternates and am considering the custom plunger I saw somewhere.  I like the idea of keeping the game "original" but as long as any changes can be undone than I have no problem with a few customizations.

Question 1:

The ball being stuck by the left flipper lane after being ejected from the paths of the dead ball pop-out ...  I am still not sure if that is supposed to be part of the game so I left it as is for now.  Anyone know if that is a flaw or a feature?  The game requires shaking or hitting the flippers continuously to vibrate the game enough for the ball to move freely down the flipper lane.  I can post a picture sometime in the future if it is not clear what I am talking about.

Question 2:

Another question, it has a coin box for $1 / $2 but doesn't accept any coins.  Is that something that I can change via the diagnostics?  It won't be used enroute but I would still like to feed it coins.

Not normal.

The ball should flow freely.

Your plastic is probably set too low.

You should be able to set the game to accept money.
It should be in the diagnostics somewhere...

Cheers,
Steph

Keep in mind that feeding it coins can lower the machine value. Scratches around the coin slots can ruin the "HUO" look.

Tim

This is his ad.

I have a first run Lord of the Rings that regretably I will have to
part with due to a pending expense.  Sorry, no tinterested in any
trades at this time.

It is HUO and never seen sunlight.  The only issues are the Balrog
needs to be made reliable on scoring and I have never upgraded the
software. I have the Balrog switch parts along with several other
parts I have picked up. Today I picked up a spare plastic set from a
local vendor.

Spare parts include:

Gold Ring cover
manual
spare plastic set
magnet plastic sleeve
gold ring ramp
ball stop on swords ramp
tower
extra figurines
hot coils un-installed
Balrog switch kit
Left drop protector
more

RGP Price
$4300 with everything, $3900 by itself.

I can be reached at 831-901-4212
Located an hour south of San Jose, CA..
Pictures on request but please no tire kickers. I will be liquidating
other games between now and PAGG.

Thanks,
Mario
