Looking at buying a replacement Gottlieb MPU. Has anyone tried the NIWUMPF80 CPU Replacement computer for Gottlieb System 80 games?? Opinions??

I've also heard some good things about the "Pascal" board. Anyone have any opinions on this? Are they only available straight from Pascal Janin, or is there a distributer in Canada? Anyone have a rough idea of the cost?

yes my PI-80 would fit (it costs 250 euros + shipment)

Here's some info on RGP: http://groups.google.com/group.....+80#d0387b146b49a945

and: http://www.flippp.fr/en/ and http://www.flipjuke.fr/nouvelle-carte-janin-pour-system-80-souscription-ouverte-t43486.html

Here's a link to NickV's Genie w/ video: http://archive.maaca.org/s107351202.onlinehome.us/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1277143631/

Expensive, but they seem to be an awesome 'mod' and it might be a nice board to have around for trouble-shooting System 80's.

Hey Pete,

I have a Pascal X4 board and if you like simplicity go for it.   The Pascal board is great and the Cdn/Euro is good right now.

Not sure what the other threads say, but the NiWumpf if you have the energy can run your own custom games.   The other "negative" if you will on the Pascal board is there are some components that are irreplaceable whereas the NiWumpf has commonly available parts (someone correct me if I'm wrong please).

(Thanks for delivering the nut machine, too)
