As a parent who had to suffer through shows like Teletubies and Barnie when my kids were small I  condemn Donnie for his actions. Far more admirable it is to be a XXX web host.

Barnie should be condemned but Teletubbies is a very well made show.  Respect to the TTs.

When my daughter was small (she's 12 soon), I had an employee who lived a few years in Ireland. He alerted me to the Teletubbies at that time just before they got big in Canada. Apparently,  there was an episode where they ate a mushroom and all things went crazy. And of course Tinky Winky is a femme gay Tubby, not that there's anything wrong with that. Dipsy is a Tubby of colour, Po is the only chick. Lala, he's the John Doe of the group.

Glenn if you think that is bad, I have a son under 3 who watches In the Night Garden which has even less educational value and is even more psychedelic.

In the Night Garden FTW!!!

That show is so over the top ridiculous our whole family watches it!  My kids have officially re-named it to "The Farting Show" due to the way the Pontipines "talk".  So even though this show has little to offer in terms of education it sure provides us family entertainment!

D

PS.  In before the lock!

My son is 4 and my daughter is 2... I have become an expert on ITNG. I think it ranks up there with Boohbahs and Teletubbies as the worst mess on television. My daughter is already bored with it all.

Backyardigans rock! I have tons of them on DVDs and I watch them a lot with the kids.

Retiring soon...

Ok, if we're seriously going to get into this...

Spongebob Squarepants.

'Nuff said.  I bust a gut almost every time I watch it with the kids.

There's definitely a lot of adult humour in that show

Very good show.  Maybe Stern should license it?

Phineas and Ferb is my kids favourite right now.  Lots of jokes just fly over their head (but I laugh at them).

-- Edit --

And of course Bugs Bunny is always a classic.  Too bad Bally screwed up that license.

ITNG fills me with rage.... I wouldn't let my kids watch it.  Now Backyardigans!  That's awesome.  I'm really enjoying the 7pm Teletoon Retro SuperFriends lately with my 6 year old.. she LOVES it!

Ever notice how there is never one punch or any sort of physical violence in the Superfriends?  Quite the contrast to the 60's cartoons and tv shows.
