I am still in love with my Royal Flush, such a great classic EM and when you find one in nice shape, hang on to it! Good luck with the search.

My love for it was the targets and setup that Gottliebs were famous for. You could always knock down a few targets, but if you got all of them and did so with the 3 jokers, well then you were laughing with great scoring. Gottliebs were famous for letting you get close, but just missing the final goals most of the time. The perfect tease!

My family and I would go to the arcade for our own family tournament and pump quarters into that machine, trying to out play each other. It was a blast and fun times as a family. The games were no more than about 7-8 mins each time which was the perfect length of time for a young kid. Not too long, not too short and we played 5 ball of course. So for me it is also about the nice memories.

If you play about 10-15 games, you will get the feel for it and start to enjoy it. I know that when I went to play some older games from the 60's at the Church of the Silver Ball, it took a while and many games before I started to appreciate the different style of play and speed of the game. Each generation has its' own charm, style and skill.

Go for it and expand your horizon.
