finally got my GT Complete!, but of course damn thing wont fit into my basement....

is it possible to completely dismantle it and reassemble it in my basement? or would it just be a mess...

The dedicated cab will not come apart other then flipping the topper back and removing the control panel.

exactly what i'm leaning towards, can't be that bad really, should be able to cleanly re-screw/glue everything from in the inside of the cab to keep it looking new...

ended up getting from a good guy in town, $400. just have to fix the flyback and she's a-rockin'!
but, i have to get it downstairs first....so might be completely disassembled, then reassembled, but hell it's worth it I think!

Ok, I know the topper comes off.  Everyone agrees on that.  The control panel assembley comes off in about 2 minutes or less.  Removing the monitor doesn't take all that long and makes the cab weigh a lot less.  My question is - what do the 4 silver lag bolts on each side of the white part of the cab hold??  Since the white part is obviously made seperate from the black part(lower half), I was wondering, just like Murrsky, if maybe it doesn't seperate without wrecking the cab.  I've never had my monitor out yet so I'd like to know what the 4 silver lag bolts hold on each side of the machine??  Maybe it helps unbolt the top half from the bottom.

well i'll probably start the dismantle today lol... so i'll take some pics as it goes along, as for the bolts on the white part of the cab, those appear to be for the monitor, but i'm hoping once they're out, the top separates easily but we'll see haha

Be very careful while handling the monitor because it contains high voltage even when it is unplugged.

finally dismantled/cut the GT complete, and now nicely down in the basement, i'll post some pics tomorrow of the action... turned out nice really...

Here we go guys, a few pics, ended up cutting nicely in half, will end up using a black t-trim to clean up the subtle cuts, we put dowells in (x3) per side, and latches inside (x4) just as sturdy as before, damn thing fits like a glove!
