Hi

After I have read the AMX thread mame 101... i decided to built my first one. I start with the software part because it the part the affraid me more. I go with mame0.129 and donwload some roms. everything was pretty straight forward. After that I try the front end no succes with atomic fe and mala at the first try. I had Good result with mamewah. Easy to change the layout.

After that I decided that I'm ready for a cab, buy a computer Dell pentium 4 2.0 with xp, 19 inch LCD monitor.

I have my cab part cut by a friend of me who make "armoire" for living, I have only to assembly it.

Tha control panel part affraid me alot so I ordered an x-aecade tanstick. Work very well, but difficult to intagred it in my cab, so I will make my own with the x-arcade part and probably go with the ultralux button

Buy a LCD topgun that work very well.

After had such good result with mame I try other emulator. First nestopia for nintendo... I want to play super mario and it's much better with this emulator than mame. Have it configured with mamewah. Everything work.

Than project 64 and kegafusion.

start assembly the cab this week there is couple pictures and the control panel layout. I'm still thinking if I will go with a spinner or not so your opinion will help me

Out of curiosity - anyone know why a lot of CP Overlays are set up with 7 buttons for each player?  I was thinking of using a 6 and 6 set up.....but have seen a lot of 7 button configurations.  What's the deal?

My version 2.0 CP will also have 7 buttons per player. The reason is to have a more authentic NeoGeo experience where the NeoGeo 4 buttons are layed out in a "Crooked" row.   Again, not necessary, you can still play NeoGeo games with the 6 buttons setup, by having button D one of the 3 buttons on the top rows but it's more authentic the other way.

easier to naviogate from mame to console.. Ihave NES SNES nintendo 64 genesis and sega 32x already set up and everything work like a charm.

just starting to play my young video game....  mat mania very fun

J'ai entendu dire que Hyperspin était le plus compliqué des front-end à configurer.....  D'après ce que je peux lire, tu n'a pas eu de problème....
À mon avis Hyperspin est le plus beau de front-end !!!!
