I found a RFM processor and I now need to convert it to SWE1.
Does anyone have the ROM images for SWE1 that they could E-mail to me?
(No they are not on the pinball database web site Waynus C & D'd them, and the files on his website are in one unuseable lump file which I don't know how to break up)
Does anyone have a set of SWE1 Rom chips for sale?
Does anyone have a pub card I can use?
Tim

What do you mean by "processor" ?    ...The prism card ?

As for copying the SW Ep1 eproms using rom images,
I don't think that will work..

I "believe" the original masked roms are 64Mb roms,
whereas the largest EPROM you can get is 32Mb,
so you can not make copies.

(... I should know, some guy offered me $150 to make a copy of the full rom set,
and I was not able to do it , eventhough I had the original SW eproms
to use as masters... ).

Not just the prism card-
The mother board, prism card, case, sound card & power supply.
So- The roms can't be copied?

All the hardware is identical for both RFM and SW Ep.1
so you don't need to swap everything.

You only need the eproms.
That's all you need to swap to change from RFM to SW Ep.1
(...and you need to download new bios, but that's a software thing... )

Not as far as I know ....
I DO know that the sounds roms can be copied  (U109 & U110)
(...I did those successfully... ).

As for the game roms, I heard that the actual game code is only 32Mb per chip,
but programmed on 64Mb masked roms  (...which is left half empty... ).

The problem is that the checksum value is different because of all the blank padding ($FF)
on the 64Mb chip.

If I had more time, I could "perhaps" change a few bytes to make the 32Mb eproms
have the same checksum as the 64Mb chips, but I don't know if that would work...
