David McNabb, known here as Hells Custodian, passed away this weekend. He went peacefully in his sleep. He loved pinball and enjoyed the MAACA community and the people he met through it. Thank you.
For anyone who wishes to attend, Dave's funeral service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetary this friday, August 6th, at 2:45pm.

So sad. I read his posts and if he was very sick, he still seemed to pursue his enjoyment of the hobby. I am sure that somewhere he is smiling knowing that people cared.
Wow, he had contacted me a few days ago to repair some Bally displays, but had not heard back...
Sincere Condoleances to the family & friends. May he rest in peace.
- Sylvain.

My condolences to the family and his friends. I feel especially sorry for the kids. I lost my father when I was young as well. I wish all strength over the coming months.
Sincere condolences to David's family. Many thoughts for a fellow pinball player & collector will no doubt be "out there" for him during this time of loss for his family and friends.

Oh man... I was going through old PMs and just cleaning up my account and saw a PM from Dave just 3 days before this happened, asking me for advice on a playfield which I gave him.
Jesus... this has shaken me up good. I haven't had any energy drinks nor junkfood in a week. And that's a stretch for me.

The last words he posted to me:
Lastly, thank you for MAACA. This place is awesome. Dave
You should feel good knowing you helped create something that makes people happy. Even though Dave's live ended suddenly, he enjoyed something that made his life better and you were a part of it.
Its just so shocking when someone goes way before their time. It shows on his obituary he was a father of two. They are the ones who suffer the most unfortunately.
Lastly, thank you for MAACA. This place is awesome. Dave
Now I feel like a goddamn a**hole for leaving soon.
Why? He thanked you for the work you've done up to know, as we all do; not the work you have to keep doing "forever". Do what you feel you need to do and if that includes moving on, that's ok. We're lucky to have had you and I hope there are times where you will feel and remember you were lucky to have us too .
