Last thing that is not working on my DM...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.....

My pop bumpers work, and the flasher goes off when they pop. When I had them apart to clean the play field I noticed that the pop bumpers have light bulbs in them. I tested the bulbs and they are good, however, these bulbs in the pop bumpers never light up?

what do I look for to troubleshoot this?

Are the bulbs in the pop bumpers supposed to be on all the time and go out when the bumper "pops" or are they supposed to be off and come on when the bumper "pops"

thanks all

Are the two orange wires you found anywhere near the popbumpers? They might had fallen off one of the flat wire leads of the popbumper lights. Just an idea to check.

The popbumper light sockets actually have a flat metal arm that passes thru the playfield underneath the popbumper components and the wires from the loom are soldered onto those leads. Check uner the popbumpers on the underneath of the playfield and look for 2 flat metal leads on each popbumper that are stapled to the underside of the playfield and each should have normal plastic covered wires from the loom soldered to them. If one is missing wires, that could be where your mystery wires belong.

Hope that is clearer than mud
